Weekend: Anna's art show + fall sweater shopping for Lucy = lots of good girl fun. This also includes Jan and Vicky, Cici's Pizza (Vicky's 1st experience!) and a photo shoot.
Anna's pottery was beautiful, Lucy found several fun, fall goodies and we all enjoyed the days together. We even found an estate sale in Forrest Lakes, in Raleigh - no purchases, but Lucy and I LOVED seeing the very '70's-style house. The light above the front door hung from the 2nd story eave, that was one, long cord dangling a white, round globe! Wow! And it was a spilt-level. Very modern. Carol Brady would have LOVED this house too. I think my alter-ego may even be Carol Brady.....or Aunt Elton.
We carried on a family tradition of the clothes swap. Vicky had 3 pair on jeans that she could no longer wear/didn't want/etc. I tried on 2 and Lucy took the other. In the course of the process, we realized that one of the pair originated with Jan, she passed them to V and now I have them. It could have just as easily been Nanny, Elton and Lucille swapping shirtwaist dresses.
As I change/grow/evolve/whatever this mid-life thing is called, I'm really enjoying seeing that the more I change/grow/evolve, I am not far from my center.
