I know I'm belatedly posting a heart-related story, as St. Valentine's Day was almost a week ago, but this is knawing at me. I have a couple of things that are knawing at me, and they involve choices of those around me.
Choices affect everyone with whom you interact, whether on a daily basis or a casual exchange in the check-out line. Big choices with far reaching consequences or small choices that can be a "random act of kindness."
As the choice is being made, if your heart screams "NO!!" or your heart soars with joy, Listen. Listen to your heart. And Listen to those you hold most dear in your heart. Relationships are built or destroyed by choices, so Listen carefully and intently.
Choices that indulge unhealthy behaviors, selfish behaviors, manipulating behaviors, secretive behaviors, chances are pretty good that the choice is not one that you should be making. Every New Year, every Lenten season, every day offers choices. Note Eleanor's quote at the top of my blog page - she says is much more efficiently and eloquently than I just have.
Listen to your heart of hearts and then, choose.
