Coffee pot reflection

I truly enjoy my coffee pot - it has a caraffe, so that the coffee stays warms and I can linger longer. But, I began to have an issue of the coffee running down the side of the pot rather than into my cup. I was frustrated - I adjusted the top, lined up the dots over and over - I couldn't figure out what was the problem.
And then I figured it out: I was rushing the pour! I was tipping the pot over too far and trying to force too much coffee into the cup!!
What an amazing solution to my coffee pot frustration: if I slow down, pour evenly and patiently, and my cup fills to the brim.
I believe this is a gentle reminder for each and every day.....
